The Hush Sound is, in my opinion, one of the best indie pop groups to ever come out of Illinois. So it was pretty upsetting when in 2008, shortly after the release of their third studio album, Goodbye Blues, they announced a hiatus.
Luckily for me, and the rest of Chicago, The Hush Sound will be taking the stage together for the second time in the last 4 years, to play two back-to-back shows at the Bottom Lounge.
The first night is a Like Vines album night, and the second night will have a set list created entirely by fan votes. With night two already sold, and only “a few dozen tickets” left for night one, you’re not going to want to miss these shows.
After gaining the attention of Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, in 2005, The Hush Sound were signed to Decaydance, and only a year later were releasing their sophomore record, Like Vines, with Fueled By Ramen.
Prior to the 2008 hiatus, and the formation of Gold Motel and Stamps the Band, The Hush Sound released their third studio album, Goodbye Blues. You can still pick up Goodbye Blues on vinyl through the Fueled By Ramen webstore for just $13.
