At the end of 2011/beginning of 2012, The Deli Magazine Chicago ran a poll to find Chicago’s best emerging artists. When the results came in at the beginning of February, it was a tight race.
With variables that included open submission, fan poll, and juror votes, the bands who ended up on the list were truly a representation of the best music coming out of the Windy City. Against some fierce competition, heavy rockers, Mutts came out as the overall winners.
In honor of the poll and results, The Deli Magazine is hosting an Emerging Artists of the Year Showcase at the Beat Kitchen tomorrow night, with Mutts taking the headlining spot. Grab all of the details and the rest of the lineup below.
The show kicks off at 8:30 PM with fourth place band, The Hemmingbirds.
9:15 PM will bring out third place indie rock group Sharpless.
At 10:00 PM, second place Driftless Pony Club will take the stage.
The 17+ show opens its doors at 8:00 PM at the Beat Kitchen – 2100 W. Belmont. Tickets are available for just $10 through Ticketweb, and a free Mutts CD and show poster are included with every admission.
