Chicago loves it’s music, booze, and swine! Fast on the heels of last weekend’s Rock & Roll Pig Roast, Schuba’s bring us it’s first annual Pig, Swig & Record Dig.
This free event kicks off at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Schuba’s tavern. In addition to roasting pig, and cheap drinks, some of Chicago’s favorite record stores will be providing crates of new and vintage LPs that are just waiting to be scoured.
If you’re not completely sold yet, check out the full event details below.
Vendors for the day include Bloodshot Records, Permanent Records, Thrill Jockey Records, Saki, and Dusty Groove America.
From Schuba’s website:
Browse a massive selection of new and vintage CDs & LPs from Chicago’s most trusted record labels and stores, while enjoying the smell of crackling pork skin from the suckling pig roasting outside. Sailor Jerry will supply the libations with cheap rum drinks for all the hardcore crate diggers.
In addition to the roast, rum, and records, Schubas and Lincoln Hall will celebrate the occasion by offloading a shocking number of awesome screen prints from artists like Jay Ryan, Justin Santora, Delicious Design League, Spike Press, and more.
Emcee extraordinaire DJRC will be spinning choice cuts, with special guest sets by the day’s vendors.
The Pig, Swig & Record Dig is located at Schubas – 3159 N Southport, and runs from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. This event is all ages, and FREE!
