Let’s try this again …
If you have been consistently following us, you may have noticed that this site has been stale over the past 10 days. Sorry about that. And for those of you that are visiting our little corner of the Interwebs for the first time, welcome!
Starting today, myself and Mark Fagan begin our new gigs as co-editors of TVD Austin. Mark and I have more years than we care to count between us working in record stores, playing in bands, and writing music blogs. Now that we are on board, we are excited to be a part of the The Vinyl District network, the official blog for Record Store Day! (Anyone else counting down the days until April 16th?)
Along with some other writers who have agreed to let us exploit their talents, we plan on covering not only vinyl (which we both love dearly) in Austin, but the music scene as a whole in this town. Whether it be what’s happening in the local record stores, writing album and concert reviews, featuring local bands, etc., you will find it here. The two of us are already hard at work in preparation for SXSW, which is still the best festival there is in my book. I will be posting details on our SXSW day party soon, so stay tuned!
We not only hope that you become a dedicated reader of our site, but also a contributor. We want to hear from you!
And we promise not to take 10 days off again!
