Every week End of an Ear sends out a list of new releases for the week with vivid descriptions hand-written by the employees. TVD: Austin will edit the list down to just vinyl and post it weekly.
Co-owner Blake Carlisle let me in on some other updates not on the newsletter. He told me they’re adding all new vinyl shelves in the main section of the store to hold a ton more records and they’ll need the space.
Carlisle told me they’ve been buying a lot since the holidays, with a lot of classic rock and psychadelic, but an extra amount of metal.
“There’s so much metal, we don’t have places to put it,” he said before saying they have at least 50% more metal than normal. They’re also focusing more on selling turntables and speakers and have a new consignor from Seattle who’s been selling them good stuff.
Remember to mention TVDL Ausitn and get 10% off this week! (Good through 1/23/11)
