Salisbury pop up vinyl shop embraces resurgence in records: You might think that getting the vinyl records out of their sleeves and placing them on the turntable was a dying art, but it’s coming back strong in Salisbury. A pop up record shop’s been opened this week in the Cross Keys centre (pictured here), run by collector Paul Smith. He’s been selling vinyls (“Vinyls” is not a word. —Ed.) online and from a stall in Shipton Bellinger for the last few years.

Time kills off precious bits of passed-over sound, story, and ephemera every day, just as fast as we can haul this sprawling archive of under-heard recordings — along with the musicians, writers, and entrepreneurs who created them — out of exile.”
