It’s official: Mold has UK’s smallest record shop, “Tucked away on the town’s quiet streets, the shop first opened its doors in 2009 and is home to all the latest music, as well as specialising in prog rock, folk, blues and reggae collectables.”

Lagniappe Records bringing vinyl back: “Vinyl record collectors near and far were smiling when Lagniappe Records opened Friday on Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette. The 1,100-square-foot store houses more than 10,000 old and new albums, along with a handful of cassette and 8-track tapes.”

Vinylify: Create Real Vinyl Records From Personalized Playlists, “Vinylify allows users to create their own personal track lists made up of songs from the service’s own catalog or uploaded tracks, then a record with that track list will be pressed and sent out to the customer. Album art is customizable as well, so this might be a cool way to get your band’s music out there in a one-of-a-kind custom vinyl edition – master showmen take note.”

Pure Vinyl record shop opens in Brixton: “Local DJ Claudia Wilson has set up her soul, funk and reggae specialist in Reliance Arcade. London has welcomed another new record shop with the opening of Pure Vinyl in the centre of Brixton.”

El Paso record stores see increasing sales of LPs: “‘In 2000, the store had what they called ‘a goodbye to vinyl sale’ because manufacturers were no longer shipping vinyl but CDs, Reynoso said. ‘Then around 2005 or 2007, we heard it was coming back. We were having to go back into the closet to bring out more records. Finally in 2010, we decided to get it out on the floor.'”
