TVD Readers Poll: What’s Your Favorite Record Store?

As we bear down on our favorite holiday, April 16, 2011—Record Store Day, we’ve decided that one way we’re going to celebrate it is to celebrate the stores that make it possible and the vinyl enthusiasts—namely you, dear readers—who love them.

To that end, we’d like to open up the comments below to be a forum for you to voice your opinion on that most important question:

What’s your favorite record store?

Tell us why you’ve chosen that particular store, be it because of

  • selection
  • prices
  • location
  • quality of used vinyl
  • size of the store
  • in-store performances
  • knowledge of staff
  • customer service

…You get my point.

Your votes will be reviewed by TVD’s Editors prior to the week of Record Store Day, and the Top 5 stores selected based on your nominations will be featured that week, one per day. Since TVD is an international blog, you are free to choose any record store in the world. You may also email your answer to info@thevinyldistrict.com.

We’re looking forward to reading your opinions. Count down to Record Store Day with us as we pay tribute to the record stores that make our lives richer every day.

Ed. note — Updated: Presents for the commenters! Random commenters will win random LPs from “our vault.” Winners will be notified after Record Store Day and must have a mailing address in the continental US or Canada.

Updated: These are the records that you could win! Comments will be closed on Friday, April 8th.
