Record Store Day returns for its fourth year on April 16, 2011 and TVD will be reporting from the front lines on all of the awesome exclusive pieces, in-stores, and goodies that will be coming our way this year.
The worldwide and now annual event stands as a remarkable testimony to the dedication, not only of the indie record store owner, but also to the artists and fans that have kept this unique and passionate culture going. After all, it’s the one day of the year that music lovers can forget the cynical state of affairs of the music industry and be reminded that going to record stores (and buying music!) is not just a nostalgic experience, but part of the reason why we’re all music lovers in the first place.
Record Store Day is managed by the Music Monitor Network and is organized in partnership with the Alliance of Independent Media Stores (AIMS), and the Coalition of Independent Music Stores (CIMS). There are over 1400 stores that will be participating in Record Store Day worldwide.
News about special products, new releases, and one-of-a-kind events for this year’s Record Store Day will be announced soon so be sure to check back here and at RecordStoreDay.com often for the latest announcements.
