It’s Thursday, and A Badge Of Friendship are back with a birthday special for the gang’s oldest member, Paul.
A departure from their usual weekly outing, the gang have thrown out the script, put together a playlist filled with all of the Birthday boy’s favourite songs (and a couple of birthday specific ones), and packed the phone lines with some characters from the big man’s past, including his old school and flat mate Simon Neil (who you may have seen fronting Biffy Clyro), his former right-hand-man Ross Ferguson (photographer extraordinaire—and one hell of a best man), and the two people who shaped him into the well-mannered gentleman who massages your ears with his dulcet tones every week—his parents.
Unfortunately, the features that have worked their way into your hearts every episode like a rogue piece of shrapnel have been placed on the back burner this week, but there’s still time for Listener Of the Week, and the gang press their audience to find out what song topped the charts the day they were born.
