This week, we’re taking a look at former Anison front man’s latest project, CARALIS. Dan Frau has teamed up with John Merriman to create vocally driven, and more importantly, sonically interesting electronic tunes that come packaged with some gorgeous videos.
Their latest offering, “Be Automatic” is a captivating track and the video does not disappoint with elements of photomontage, pencil drawing, and more than a few nods to La Jetée, we see Dan walking, staccato style, around London dockyards in the sunshine which beautifully complements the single’s distinctive sound.
It’s great seeing an artist adopting a definite theme for their output, and with two singles and videos under their belt—and a powerful remix of the band’s debut single “Clicks In” by Sollus—we can’t wait to see where these guys decide to go next.
