Supporting their self-titled debut album as well as their upcoming sophomore record, set to release this summer, John Lennox’s new Chicago-based project, Panoramic & True, will be taking the stage this Friday at The Empty Bottle with Maritime and The Minor Leagues.
John Lennox has released solo albums in the past, but it is with Panoramic & True that some amazing mastery has come forth. The band features all the instruments that could you want in a musical group, including the violin, guitar, bass, cello, viola, and more.
Each member, under Lennox’s direction, uses their talents and instruments to their fullest abilities. This is more than apparent on tracks like “California” from their debut self-titled LP.
While Panoramic & True is Lennox’s third release (the first two being solo projects) this album and musical project is a hodgepodge of musical styles that fit perfectly together. Panoramic and True’s influences from many different genres present themselves in the recording and leave the listener feeling amazed.
If their upcoming sophomore release is anything like this first LP, released in March of 2010, then this band has only a bright future to look forward to.
You can grab a copy of Panoramic & True on vinyl for just $10 through Bandcamp.
Panoramic & True will be taking the stage at The Empty Bottle (1035 N. Western Ave) with Maritime and The Minor Leagues. The 21+ show starts at 10:00 PM and costs $10. Tickets are available through TicketWeb.
